An ancient practice relevant today
Acupuncture is a very ancient form of therapy developed in China. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, written around 2600 BC, is one of the first surviving documents to mention acupuncture.

Dr. O'Leary uses acupuncture either by itself or in conjunction with chiropractic manipulation to treat pain and other musculoskeletal disorders, including:

• Arthritis pain
• Depression
• Edema (swelling)
• Fatigue
• Sciatica (pain radiating down the leg)

In 1999, the World Health Organization listed more than two thousand conditions that can be treated with acupuncture.

Certified acupuncturist since 1994
Molly O'Leary, DC, studied acupuncture through the Acupuncture Society of America and with John Amaro, DC, founder of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She became a Missouri state certified acupuncturist in 1994.
